More about Kyle: |
| What's the best moment of the day? |
The first five minutes after I wake up. It's the only time of day where my head is completely clear. |
| What books do you have on your bedside table? |
I shouldn't be revealing this but I don't read a lot of literature. I really only read design books or tutorial books on software programs. Yes, I've obtained ultra geek status.
|
| Do you read design magazines? |
Of course! I would have to say PhotoShop User is my all-time favorite magazine! |
| What's your favorite article of clothing? |
Either my 1985 Duran Duran Members Only jacket or my Smashing Pumpkins hoodie. |
| Describe your style, like a good friend of yours would describe it. |
I would definitely say my style has an edgy, urban look to it. I think my style is relevant without trying to be too trendy as to what's going on in the design world. I like to take what works now and give it a little bit more of a twist. |
| Is there any designer from the past who you greatly appreciate? |
Yes, Josef Muller-Brockmann. He was one of the greatest Swiss designers of his time. His designs and art in my opinion, have stood the test of time. |
| Do you discuss or exchange ideas with other designers? |
All the time! Communication is the greatest tool anyone can use in any area of life. This is very important in the design world. My design peers are my biggest motivators. I love to share a design idea and see how someone else interprets the idea. |
| When you were a child, what did you want to be when you grew up? |
I think like all kids, I only had one of three options. Police Man, Astronaut, Fire Fighter... I chose Police Man. |
| What bands would we find on your iPod most played list? |
Smashing Pumpkins (always), The Bridge, Chicago ( I'll admit it, I love them!), Massive Attack, Placebo, Mum, Pixies, Modest Mouse, Kool Keith, Blackalicious, Calla, Muse |
| When do you feel the most inspired? |
Usually when I'm talking to someone who is excited about a project they are working on. It really motivates me to get excited about my own projects i'm working on and it makes me push harder to achieve success. |
