Getting Grown Collective is a community-led initiative rooted in the heart of Chicago, focused on reimagining vacant and underused land in the Englewood neighborhood into thriving community gardens. What began as a local effort is driven by a larger mission: to restore connection, pride, and access to fresh food through shared green spaces.
I was brought in to develop the brand identity for the project, with the challenge of creating a logo that honors the spirit of Chicago while feeling open and universal enough to grow beyond a single neighborhood. The result needed to feel rooted yet adaptable and built to scale into other communities across the country, carrying the same message of renewal and collective growth wherever it goes.
